About Jungle Geniuses

Our Roots

Jungle Geniuses started with my own journey—growing up in Illinois, playing professional soccer, and eventually finding my way into the arts.

After playing in Romania, I traveled to Los Angeles to meet with a sports agent who could help me find a tryout in Switzerland.

During that trip, I visited a park in Los Angeles known as “the Jungles.” I got into a conversation with some skateboarders about the surrounding neighborhood, its history, and the challenges they faced growing up there. Listening to them reminded me of my own upbringing in Illinois. Different places, but familiar stories.

I left thinking about the concrete jungle: how our surroundings shape us, how we find our way, and how much talent exists in places people overlook.

That conversation planted the seed for Jungle Geniuses.

Art Is Made in Hindsight

I later played in Switzerland, where I got injured. After my playing career, I considered becoming a sports agent before I began working in the arts.

Looking back, I began to see connections between my upbringing, soccer, and that conversation in LA.

My cousin’s clothing line, Uncommon, and a Virgil Abloh exhibition my brother took me to also inspired me. They helped shape how I thought about art, clothing, and what I could create.

That’s what “Art is made in hindsight” means to me. Sometimes you have to look back to understand what an experience gave you—and what you can create from it.

From My Story to Ours

Jungle Geniuses began as my idea. My vision is for it to grow beyond me into an art collective and clothing brand rooted in creativity, culture, and community.

Streetwear is the starting point. With my background in soccer, I also see it growing into athletic lifestyle clothing.

I’m building a collective where artists can collaborate on clothing, share their work at events, and connect with people who bring different talents and perspectives.

My story is the foundation. Together, we get to shape what grows from it.
